Our Story

What can happen when a company's entire being is centered on bringing a prevalent subject into the mainstream?  Doesn't sound very interesting since a "prevalent subject" would already have been firmly engrained into the marketplace, right?  Wrong.  Not when that subject is mental illness - a social topic that is still kept in the dark and lacks public acceptance despite the fact that 26% of Americans suffer from a diagnosable mental illness. This means that one out of every four families in this country is directly affected by these diseases.

PeaceLove is dedicated to breaking the "silence" surrounding mental illness with a positive symbol that is focused on creating hope and acceptance for this social injustice.  Through the sale of PeaceLove merchandise and original art; we donate 10% of gross profits to support worthy non-profit organizations that work to provide individuals coping with mental illness access to resources, opportunities, and hope.  Collectively we strive to provide individuals with the promise of inclusion, integration, productivity, independence and an improved quality of life.

PeaceLove's symbol has been interpreted by artists from all walks of life culminating into beautiful and meaningful artwork, clothing, jewelry, greeting cards, public art displays, which are being made available to a vast market that until now has been largely under served.  These creative derivatives of the symbol help build a community, awareness, and provide a voice on behalf of the many individuals and families affected by mental illness.

About Our Founder

Founded in 2009 by Jeffrey M. Sparr, the goal was to enrich the lives of individuals coping with mental illness and create a symbol of acceptance which all people, suffers and non-suffers alike, could unite behind together. Jeffrey believes that the peacelove symbol and programs help create peace of mind for the many individuals and families affected by these diseases.  A businessman, father of three, and suffer Jeffrey became a gifted artist and mental health advocate while learning to live with obsessive-compulsive disorder. Jeff launched PeaceLove Studios to take what he learned from his experience and help others.  To learn more about Jeff click here.
