Artist Emmet Estrada Art Window Display

Emmet Estrada
Emmet Estrada's work represents the freedom and joy of the mind as it wanders through countries and civilizations both ancient and modern, real and imagined. Like a true explorer and artist, for him there is always one more idea over the horizon, one more aspect of humanity yet to be painted. He paints the Chinese, the French, the Japanese, Indians, the English, Egyptians, Mexican bullfighters, cavemen, birds, dinosaurs, dragons, and demons, all in the remarkably speedy style of a graffiti writer. Each painting is like an explanation of his day's work. Taken in its entirety, his work forms one vast world that is as populated as our own, as he joyously ruminates over all the infinite variations. Estrada's work has been featured in Providence Art Windows and is currently being shown in the 2010 VSA International Festival at the Smithsonian in Washington D.C. Emmet lives in East Providence, and works at Top Drawer Art at the BRASS, as studio and gallery for adults with developmental disabilities, in Warren, Rhode Island.
