Dr. Rasmussen clearly illustrates a devotion to the treatment and research of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.  His projects include a study of 400 patients with OCD and the neurosurgical approaches to treating OCD patients using the gamma knife and deep brain stimulation (DBS).  The Obsessive Compulsive Disorders Clinic at Butler Hospital is affiliated with Brown Medical School.  The clinic is recognized worldwide for its research into, and treatment of, OCD.

Jeffrey Sparr, a Butler Hospital patient of Dr. Rasmussen’s, became a gifted artist and mental health advocate while learning to live with obsessive compulsive disorder.  He is here to share his story as the face of a patient.
